One Foot in Eden - An intimate retrospective of the works of Borders artist Caroline McNairn,

A memorial exhibition of the works of Border artist Caroline McNairn (1955-2010), showcasing a selection of her smaller more intimate paintings, giving a moving insight into the poetic lyricism and humanity of her unique vision, which blends local tradition with an international outlook.

Beyond Borders

This exhibition is part of Beyond Borders festival of literature of literature and thought, Books, Borders & Bikes, held at Traquair House between 20th-21st August 2011.

Beyond Borders is a creative initiative dedicated to showcasing the work of writers, intellectuals, artists and filmmakers who come from small nations around the world. Our patrons include Lord Brown, Lord Steel, Sir Menzies Campbell, Helena Kennedy QC, Baroness Smith and Sir Kieran Prendergast.

Our partners include: Creative Scotland, Scottish PEN, The Assembly Rooms, The Mainstreet Trading Company, The John Smith Memorial Trust, The Delfina Foundation, The Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue in Geneva and the Bar Human Rights Committee.
