At a moment of deep volatility in international aid and peacebuilding, the W4W responds to a critical gap: despite their essential contributions, women represent just 7% of negotiators in formal peace processes, and organisations led by women peacebuilders receive a mere 0.1% of global funding. The project will harness the power of the 1325 Women in Conflict Community of Practice Alumnae Network of more than 400 fellows across 47 countries to strengthen the capacity, visibility, and leadership of women working in conflict resolution, human rights, humanitarian response, and sustainable development.

Delivered over 12 months, the W4W project will identify alumnae needs through structured cross-regional consultations and will recognise the amazing work our alumnae are doing by documenting it through storytelling, advocacy, and public celebration of women peacebuilders’ achievements. Outcomes will be shared through Beyond Borders’ rich platforms, including the Beyond Borders International Festival, the Scottish Peace Platform, the Podcast, and our other media channels.
